Clash!

Project Description:
At the beginning of class, students waiting to enter a lecture hall or classroom impede the flow of students leaving said location. This blockage benefits neither the entering nor exiting students in terms of time.

This is a Berkeley Innovation Fall 2007 Project.

Research Goals

  • Why does a student arrive early (before ten past the hour) to the classroom site?
  • Why does a student choose a particular moment to enter the classroom?
  • Why does a student exit the classroom at a different time than the other students?
