Bi Post-Its Campaign

Berkeley Innovation wanted to take a different approach to advertising our upcoming Information session. We identified several key problems with traditional flyers on the Berkeley Campus. Among them:

  • Volume: There is just way too many of them! Students simply pass crowded boards.
  • Shape: Everyone uses the same standard 8.5X11 copy paper. We wanted something that would stand out.
  • Complexity: Most flyers try to cram in every bit of information, and become difficult to read quickly. Our target is to keep it simple, and point people to the website with all the details.
  • Take away: Some flyers are cut with strips at the bottom, so that essential information can be torn off. We wanted something that didn’t even require tearing (it can be socially embarrassing to do in public, we understand).

We believe our solution of a compact, simple, bright orange Post-it fulfills our requirements for advertising. They are designed to create curiosity in their existence, and can be easily removed for taking home by simply lifting them.

If a Post-it has indeed brought you here…

We welcome you to explore Berkeley Innovation, UC Berkeley’s student-run Product Design group for all majors.
